A competitive business environment in Europe is a pre-condition for growth and prosperity in our societies. The European Commission supports growth and competitiveness in different ways including stimulating R&D and innovation and by reducing barriers to trade and promoting mobility.

Many factors are at play within this broader context, and Oxford Research has been entrusted with assignments to identify drivers and obstacles of growth on various levels from municipalities and regions to cross-cutting sectors studies, as well as to evaluate policies aimed at supporting business growth.

Recent assignments range from studies on support for smart specialisation, digital business transformation and green growth to business financing in the Arctic and blue growth in near-shore fishery. On the European level Oxford Research has been commissioned to carry out studies on the EU Single Market Scoreboard, Single Digital Gateway and rules on short-term rental accommodation.

Key clients in this field include DG GROW and DG REGIO of the European Commission, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Swedish Agency for Innovation and Growth, Innovation Norway and The Danish Business Authority.
